I started my journey in Jiujitsu back in 2000 training under Royce Gracie who gave me my brown belt and although I am truly appreciative of my time training with Royce and Rodrigo I believe that I found my true home training with Marco Delima at Plus One Defense Systems in West Hartford, CT. I feel honored to be a black belt under Marco Delima and will continue to strive everyday to live up to the responsibility that comes with it. Although my focus is not on sport jiu-jitsu but rather the realistic application of self defense I have enjoyed some success in competition with multiple titles in NAGA.

2003 NAGA World Champion (blue belt)
2003 NAGA New England Champion (blue belt)
2009 Naga North American Champion (Masters Expert)

I began my journey in martial arts at the tender age of 7 years old and never looked back. Since then I’ve studied a number of different arts ranging from the more traditional styles (Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido) and more recent iterations like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga. I’ve found through my journeys in the martial arts that the style is secondary to the individual and that each art has something beneficial to offer and it is up to the student to decide which one best suits their needs. For me that style is Jiu Jitsu. My goal is to try and break down the complexities of the art into bite size pieces that are more easily digestible for the average individual that may not have the natural athleticism that some people appear to be blessed with. I hope that whatever path you chose you find what you are looking for.
